I want to thank you, Lord for all
you've done;
For leading me out of darkness into the sun.
I need to thank you, Lord for all you are;
For healing my deepest wound and leaving a scar.
Like a trophy to remind me of all you've brought me through,
I want to thank you, Lord for all the wonderful things you do.
I want to thank you, Lord for saving me;
For laying down your own life to rescue me;
For forgiving me when I've betrayed you, time and time again,
You always take me back, I don't deserve you, Lord ...
And yet you're always my best friend.
Chorus:
And I wish I could repay you, for all you've done for me
And I wonder how to do it, you know I'm small and poor and weak
That's when I hear you laugh out loud at me
Then you gently draw me near ...
My child, you say, just keep singing for all to hear.
There are still times, Lord, you catch me feeling sorry for myself;
But even then, you understand me like no one else …
That I'm human, I get discouraged, allowing worry to creep in,
You take me in your arms and you love me even then.
I want to thank you, Lord for everything.
I will praise you all my earthly life, my God, my King
You're so good to me, You're so beautiful,
I can tell you anything …
I want to thank you, Lord for the wonderful, amazing peace you bring.
Chorus:
And I wish I could repay you, for all you've done for me
And I wonder how to do it, you know I'm small and poor and weak
That's when I hear you laugh out loud at me
Then you gently draw me near ...
my child, you say, just keep singing for all to hear.
I will thank you, Lord in the morning and in the afternoon.
I will glorify the name of Jesus at evening too.
From this moment on, and forever more, I'll live to sing your praise.
I want to thank you, Lord, and I will serve you all my days.
I want to thank you, Lord for all you've done,
For changing me deep inside my soul with your love …
For never-ending grace, goodness all the time,
For forgiveness by your blood
I want to thank you, Lord for all the beautiful things you've done
For fixing me …
When I'm broken …
For leading me back to you …
I want to thank you, Lord for all the wonderful, beautiful, amazing things you
do.
Thank you, my Lord!

From The Author:
I was homeless. I had been mixed up in drugs and caught a felony possession
charge in Aug. of 2007. I was forced to seek help from a homeless shelter. While
there, the Lord began to completely change me from the inside out. I've had a
place for about 7 months, now, have stayed clean since the day of my arrest in
2007. He has blessed me with a growing music ministry, and I now start and end
each day talking to Him. He also lives inside my heart, and has given me so very
many countless victories and miracles, that I cannot stop praising Him. He is
now all that I am, all that I ever will be, and all that I need. I am His and He
is mine, forever, and I cannot believe I waited until I was 49 years old to find
this enormous peace and blissful joy. My mother and my sister were murdered 16
years ago, by another member of my family who then killed himself. I had never
resolved the hurt from that, as well as earlier childhood trauma such as sexual
abuse and relational betrayal of trust. In just a very short time of walking
daily with my Savior, I found my burdens completely lifted and my pain
diminishing rapidly. Sure, it was all still a sad thing, but as the old hymn
"Turn your eyes upon Jesus" says: "And the things of this world will grow
strangely dim ... in the light of His glory and grace." It's so very true in my
life, and I simply cannot stop telling it. Thanks very much for considering me.
By the way, I have a keyboard that works with midi, but don't have the equipment
to retain the music. I play by ear, by heart, and by God ... so while I could
supply basic chords for the tune to this song, or individual notes for the
melody line, I don't know what else to do. I'm told the tune is beautiful and
would love to share it, but I s'pose for now, this will have to do. I'm just
happy to share it, and I hope you like it. Thanks again.
