Still in Control

When the darkness surrounds me and no light shines through,
when my load is heavy and I don’t know what to do,
when I can’t take one more step and my heart cries out in pain,
I turn to the One who understands and He hears me once again.
I cry Jesus, sweet Jesus, please hear my humble plea;
Jesus, sweet Jesus, I come on bended knee.
I need Your touch deep within my soul;
mend this broken heart and make me whole.
Then He touches me and He whispers I am still in control.
When my life is total chaos with no peace to be found;
when I am all alone with not one friend around;
when heartache, pain and fear seem to be my constant foes;
I turn to the One who understands and He listens to my woes.
I cry Jesus, sweet Jesus, please hear my humble plea;
Jesus, sweet Jesus, I come on bended knee.
I need Your touch deep within my soul;
mend this broken heart and make me whole.
Then He touches me and He whispers I am still in control.
When the storms of life gather and I’m tossed to and fro;
when I am seeking shelter but I don’t know where to go;
when my heart cries all is lost, there’s no need to go on;
He wraps me in His loving arms til all the danger’s gone.
I cry Jesus, sweet Jesus, please hear my humble plea;
Jesus, sweet Jesus, I come on bended knee.
I need Your touch deep within my soul;
mend this broken heart and make me whole.
Then He touches me and He whispers I am still in control.
Yes He whispers I am still in control.
