And try to understand

Not like Jesus can
I can wipe your tears
And I can hold your hand
I can calm you fears
But not like He can

Only He can heal a heart that's been broken
Only He can make those tears go away
Only He can lift you up and place you on a mountain
Only He can take the pieces and put it all together and heal the pain
Only He can

I can grieve for you
When you have tears to cry
And I'll mourn for you each mornin
But He'll stay by your side
He can be that friend
Who stays through thick and thin
No matter how it ends
Yes only Jesus can
