A Star

A star…
It gives its light for all to see
For ages it displays its glorious glow
A musician’s fingers slide delicately over a piano’s keys
The sound floats softly through the air to me
Why so beautiful, so perfect in thine eyes
Could this moment be more faultless
As I see rays of light break the seams of crimson skies
Sleep nears the corners of my thoughts
And softly lays me to drift in a sea of darkness
Possibilities become my sole’s reality
Passionate dreams my heart grips tightly
Fears I cannot bare watch patiently from the shadows
In the midst a powerful hand reaches out to hold me
Instead of falling I lay in comfort
Cool wind caresses my cheek as I am lifted
Out of the darkness comes a light glowing in the distance
Now I am racing towards it eyes wide open and arms outstretched
A blinding light, the soft sound of angels voices, the sweet smell of rain just before the storm
Held high in safety from all that is wrong, from anything the world could offer
Could this be the most beautiful dream?
No, this is a glimpse of a moment spent with my heavenly father.

YourHymn.com is the place on the internet to submit your original Christian worship songs. We accept hymns, praise choruses, contemporary songs, and even poems. We also want to hear your songs, so please send us the mp3 or WMA files so we can share them with our visitors. Also, every month we have a contest for our song-writers, complete with prizes. Our goal on this site is to glorify God by these songs of worship, and to be a blessing to all our visitors who stumble upon these works.
