1. The cup wasn’t passed in Gethsemane,
for God’s wrath was endured fully by thee.

Refrain- What great sacrifice was required of thee!
How great was the price you paid to save me!

2. Thy blood was drawn to pardon my sin,
for nothing else could bring forth remission,

3. You took to yourself the death I had sown.
My iniquity, you made it your own.

4. For my salvation, only this I see,
The great sacrifice required of thee.
