As a deer pants for a stream, so my soul pants for you
I thirst for God, the living God, where can I meet with you

Why be downcast, oh my soul, put your hope in God
I will yet praise him, my Savior and my God

By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song’s with me
Foes attack me cruelly, you’ve not forgotten me
