I saw her standing
From the corner of my eye
Speaking softly
To strangers passing by
As the cold rains of November
Chilled the moment
Her warm hello
Melted all doubt in me
This heavenly encounter
Was unexpected
"Mr. Could you help me please...?"

She spoke of blessings
And where her life had been
Forever grateful
With hope to start again
She seemed to know
The meaning of contentment
Living life by faith
And not by means
We prayed and then
She asked me to remember
These words she had for me

She said...

Hold on... Faithfully
God loves you
With agape kind of love

Poured out… Unconditionally
Like rain that falls
From heaven
His precious gift
From heaven gives…

New life… Abundant and free
In the midst of
Storms around you
God’s mercies will
Surround you so…

Call Him... Cast every need
God loves you
With agape kind of love
Agape kind of love

She smiled at me
And said “Sir thank you”
If she only knew
The light she shined on me
As I reached into my pocket
I was reminded
Of love that is given free

I can hear her say...
