 Lord, when my pathway is rugged and steep
When I’m in a valley dark and so deep
I call out your name, for my burdens you will bear
In my time of need, all my sorrows you will share

When my faith has grown weak and I’m low
Take my hand for my storms you can control
Restore me again, give me strength to go on
Even if I’m sad, you will leave me not alone

If I think I can’t stand, hold my hand
For I know your are there to understand
Weighted down with care, you will be there through it all
When burdened, weary and sad, on you I will call

Every day I live, you are what I need
To guide me along, and to take lead
I praise your name when you reach down to me
And to know that you are there for eternity
