I was laying in the darkness,
Listening to the rain.
And I wondered if He heard me,
When I called out His name.

It was cold and it was dark,
Yeah, there was no light,
Or so it seemed, to me that moment
And I knew it wasn't right

And Jesus said Fear, not!,
For the Rain is only temporary.
This storm and darkness, it will pass
and peace will renew your soul.

And in the darkness there was light,
And I felt hope again.
The storm within began to pass,
As I felt the Son begin to shine.

Now the storms cant steal my joy.
For I know my God is strong.
He wont let anything come against me,
That He can not overcome.
