Philippians 2:7

Written by Jim Kilian

He made himself nothing
He came down to lift me
He humbled Himself, became poor in His love
He went to the cross
Now He calls me there with Him
The pathway leads down to His presence above

It’s in emptiness, nothingness Jesus is waiting
He shows me the way to come home
The path never changes no matter the winds
I must watch ... listen ... and follow
I must watch ... listen ... and follow

He had no earthly beauty
I did not desire Him
His glory is hidden, He waits to be found
So I come with my nothing
He takes it and breaks it
Then He passes it back, so I can bow down

Broken bread and poured out wine...
Jesus was broken bread and poured out wine...
In His Father’s hands … He was safe in His Father’s hands
So He came down to rescue me

Chorus

Broken bread and poured out wine
I must be broken bread and poured out wine
In my masters’ hands m … I’m safe in my masters’ hands
To be used for His Glory

I’m in my masters hands
I’m safe in my Masters’ hands ….
