1. Jesus, unfailing light
Darkness must take its flight
When You send piercing rays, as sharp as arrows.
When light comes darkness goes
And light gives life to those
Who let Your holy sunrise flood the shadows

2. Light comes in many forms
>From sun with blazing warmth
To tiny candle flame that’s barely glowing
But just a tiny spark
Can fight against the dark
When transformed by the Spirit-breath’s pure blowing

3. Help us reflect the light
As moon in darkest night
Reveals the narrow path to weary travelers
Show us that special place
Where we can bring Your grace
And guide the searching soul to find true answers

And we look forward to the day
When all created light is swept away
When You become our only light
Where no more there is room for night

Jesus, unfailing light
Jesus, transforming light
Jesus, the One True Light
