A Servant's Heart

Written by Sarah Von Bergen

He came with hands so willing to heal
He came with eyes that cast out all fears
He came with a mind discerning what’s real
In the heart; not just how it appeared

Give a little love; show a bit of kindness
Have some mercy; go out in humbleness
And just like Jesus, look beyond how it seems
And to the world, bring a little bit of a servant’s heart

He cured the lame despite of their sins
He fed the hungry without a payment
He found the lost; took them out of hiding
He showed them how to be righteous servants

Give a little love; show a bit of kindness
Have some mercy; go out in humbleness
And just like Jesus, look beyond how it seems
And to the world, bring a little bit of a servant’s heart

Oh sweet Jesus came as a great example
Of not just how to be saved, but also how to reach people
He has shown us that His way is so simple
In order to be great, you must be willing to give all

And give a little love; show a bit of kindness
Have some mercy; go out in humbleness
And just like Jesus, look beyond how it seems
And to the world, bring a little bit of a servant’s heart
Bring a servant’s heart; a servant’s heart

YourHymn.com is the place on the internet to submit your original Christian worship songs. We accept hymns, praise choruses, contemporary songs, and even poems. We also want to hear your songs, so please send us the mp3 or WMA files so we can share them with our visitors. Also, every month we have a contest for our song-writers, complete with prizes. Our goal on this site is to glorify God by these songs of worship, and to be a blessing to all our visitors who stumble upon these works.
