I've been kind, I've been cruel
been exalted, laid low
been a wise man and a fool
been faithless and been true

I've been loved, been despised
I've had vision, I've been blind
been accepted, cast aside
moved forward, fell behind
held in honor, been maligned

JESUS never failing
lovingkindness forever unveiling

I spoke truth, I told lies
I've been humble, had my pride
I've been weak, so strong
walked alone and side by side
had no regrets and wished I died

I've been blessed, I've been cursed
I've been cherished, been abused
lived reality, chased dreams
been trusted, falsely accused
been angry, been amused
