Some people just see presents
When they look at a Christmas tree
And they wonder why they can’t have more
It’s just an obligation to give and not receive
But I see more when I look at the tree…….

I see Jesus shining with glory
In every sparkling—twinkling light
Like a lamp that guides me through the darkness
And keeps me safe in the night
The gold is the precious way He loves me
And reminds me Who gave me my life
His arms are like the garland wrapped around the tree
He will never leave me…He’s there through eternity….
Yes---now I see so much more…when I see a Christmas tree.

They wonder if there will be enough
If they have thought of everything
And they leave their homes to gather more
Forgetting the purpose that they fail to see
The best gift at Christmas is not under the tree.
