Well it's a Colorado Christmas, but all I've got is the blues,
Layoffs keep, a comin ----- War is in the news.
Christmas lights are flashin but I've got Christmas gloom,
Don't feel like go-in shoppin, Why can't it be June?
And then I see a nativity ...... A Baby wrapped in swaddling clothes,
And I remember the reason for this all....

A baby in a manger, That first Christmas morn,
Unto us a Child is Born.
Well it's a Red, White and Blue Christmas, and I'm way behind
A million cards to send out, and another million presents to find.
The world's in a shopping frenzy, we've got no time to rest...
and I'd be happy with a parking space, and a break from this Christmas stress.
Then I hear distant church bells chime... people comin in from the cold..
And we remember God's wondrous gift on that night so long ago!
